Why Did I Decide to Open This Acro-Focused Store?

Hey there, fellow acro lovers!

I'm super excited (and a little nervous!) to welcome you to my store – which I’ve been dreaming about opening for a long time. Let me tell you a bit about why I started it.

Acrobatic gymnastics has been part of my life for nearly 25+ years. I’ve been through just about every role you can imagine: I was a gymnast myself (probably the oldest ever at Worlds, being 34 then), I’ve judged countless routines, coached both tiny tots and talented juniors, and even served on technical committees. I've been to world events, shared the nerves and joy of competition, and made lifelong memories along the way.

Like many of you, I’ve tried other sports too. But nothing ever compared to acro. The connection, the creativity, the trust – it’s unlike anything else. It’s the most engaging, most beautiful discipline I know. And yet, we’re constantly in the shadows.

Because acro isn’t in the Olympics, we often get overlooked. There's little funding, barely any recognition, and our own federations sometimes treat us like the forgotten cousin of “real gymnastics.” Most of the time, if we want to wear something that shows our love for acro, we’re stuck browsing through artistic gymnastics merch, hoping to find something that kind of fits.

I wanted to change that.

This store is my way of giving back to a sport that gave me so much. It's for the gymnasts, the coaches, the parents, the fans – everyone who loves acro and wants to show it proudly. Let’s spread the word, spark some curiosity, and maybe even inspire the next generation of acrobats.

We deserve our own spotlight. Let's build it together.
